Southtown Speedway

I raced junior 2 briggs in 94 and 95, my number was 19, I just think it is cool that this track is still here and still running strong. I hope to make it down to watch a race this summer to relive some memories

I heard that region 5 is under new directors and that IKF races will be limited to only a few tracks. Poor year to limit punches (if true) with the nationals so close (Brookings). Nick and I are eagerly awaiting 2010 racing! Mike Joynt

At this time we are not planning to host one.

I hear that region 5 is going to a different schedule format similar to 3 and 5A. Are you going to be hosting a regional race in 2010?

I have an idea i think Southtown should start a new class. Clone class for the people that want to race and dont have the money for all the other classes. Its the wave, more money for the track!

maybe u should come up with a new logo for the track or get a better flag stand or upgrade it how ever maybe the situation to do that with the money that comes in to save some of it for track improvement maybe do a 50/50 drawing half for the person that wins and the other half to the track to put in new addictions? they do it in dirt track racing its very fun and inexpensive way to have fun then u will see all the improvments grow the sport of go cart racing

i hope to see mitch krein race again next season and i think that u should run more specials to get more go carts to come other wise i know u do have a lot normally but more specials would be nice and maybe a little longer season or is that set up because of school?

There were actually 2 years that this took place. In 1991 we held the 4-cycle Nationals and in 1993 we held the 2-cycle nationals.
